    Product Description

    An air separation plant separates atmospheric air into its primary components, typically nitrogen and oxygen, and sometimes also argon and other rare inert gases.

    Oxygen, nitrogen and argon are produced through a process called cryogenic air separation. During this process, air is compressed and then cooled to a very low temperature, causing it to liquefy. The liquefied air is then separated into its main components using a distillation column.
    Oxygen, nitrogen, and argon have different boiling points, allowing them to separate at specific stages of the distillation process. Typically, oxygen is the first component extracted, followed by nitrogen and finally argon. The resulting product can be stored and distributed in gas or liquid form for use in a variety of industrial, medical and scientific applications.
    Oxygen is used in respiratory support in medical facilities, in industrial processes such as metal cutting and welding, and in the production of chemicals and fuels. Nitrogen is used in food packaging, electronics manufacturing, and as an inert gas for purges and blankets.
