Fullcryo Signed a Liquid Helium Supply Cooperation Agreement With Algeria

Recently, Sinoscience Fullcryo Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Fullcryo") signed a liquid helium supply cooperation agreement with Algeria. According to the agreement, Algeria will stably supply liquid helium to Fullcryo. This cooperation marks an important breakthrough in Fullcryo's stable supply capacity of liquid helium, and at the same time, lays a solid foundation for the company to further expand the international market. In addition, the two parties also plan to carry out in-depth cooperation in gas-related fields such as LNG-BOG helium extraction, helium liquefaction, and new energy, promote technical exchanges and resource sharing, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

 

Helium is an important strategic gas resource indispensable for the development of national defense and high technology, and plays an irreplaceable role in key fields such as aerospace, nuclear industry, semiconductors, and large scientific facilities. However, my country's helium resources are scarce, and the contradiction between supply and demand is prominent, which seriously restricts the development of high-tech industries. This cooperation with Algeria is of great significance and will further ensure the stable supply of domestic helium resources.

 

Driven by the rapid development of the semiconductor industry, China has become one of the world's major helium consumers, with helium demand accounting for 14% of the global total, and is still growing rapidly. By 2024, China's external dependence on helium will be reduced from 95% to about 85%, and the self-sufficiency rate will be increased to about 15%. Fullcryo has played an important role in this process. Relying on the large-scale low-temperature core technology achievements of the Institute of Physics and Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, it has proposed for the first time a commercial helium extraction route suitable for my country's national conditions, and has researched and developed multiple sets of LNG-BOG low-temperature helium extraction devices, using low-temperature deep-cold separation and purification to obtain high-purity helium. At the same time, a core helium liquefaction device is used to achieve industrial demonstration of gas helium and liquid helium co-production. After years of practical exploration, Fullcryo has realized the industrialization of LNG-BOG helium extraction projects, partially meeting domestic helium demand and effectively alleviating the shortage of domestic helium resources.

In order to steadily improve the helium supply capacity, Fullcryo implements a "two-wheel drive" strategy: on the one hand, based on the existing LNG-BOG helium extraction technology, it continues to expand the production capacity of BOG helium extraction plants at home and abroad; on the other hand, it actively expands international cooperation channels and ensures the reliability and stability of helium resources through diversified layout. The company provides strong support for the construction of my country's helium resource reserves and supply chain system through a combination of independent production and cooperation with international companies.

 

The signing of the liquid helium supply cooperation agreement not only provides Fullcryo with a stable helium supply channel, but also injects new impetus into the cooperation between China and Argentina in the energy field, and also provides strong support for the stable development of the global helium market.
